Get involved without buying a hand

Start with a question, a paper or a small simulation.

A simulated hand is a model. Joint limits, contact and actuation need explicit assumptions.Concept illustration · not a product specification or test result.
What you will learn

Choose a useful first contribution that does not require a robot.

A first session

Choose a task that interests you. Watch an original demonstration, read the setup and write down one thing you understand and one question. Share the source with your question.

Explore a digital model

MuJoCo provides simulation tools for interacting articulated systems. Begin with its official examples. Simulation lets you explore ideas, but a simulated result still needs validation on physical hardware.

Choose your next step

Read a paper with others, improve a project explanation, inspect an open hardware design, or document a small experiment. LeRobot is a further starting point for datasets and robot learning; check each tutorial’s prerequisites.

Try it yourself

Your practical task

  1. Pick one hand or manipulation task from the directory.
  2. Open its original project or paper and record the hardware revision.
  3. Write one observation, one unknown and a small experiment that could answer it.

What to produce: A source-linked question ready for a community discussion.
